Etoi Johnson

Academic Instructional Coach

Hello, my name is Etoi Johnson, and I am the Academic Instructional Coach here at Adams Elementary School. I am elated to begin my 15thyear in education, and my fourth year at Adams Elementary. I look forward to providing instructional support to our talented teachers, to help our students reach their optimal potential.

My career in education began 15 years ago in the East St. Louis, Illinois school district, where I taught 1stand 3rdgrade students. I later taught 5thgrade at a charter school here in St. Louis. I have taught in Saint Louis Public Schools for seven years. Some of the students I have taught are: 1stand 3rdgrade students, deaf and hard of hearing students, and English Language Learners. My primary goal as a teacher was to ensure that I met the needs of the diverse learners that were entrusted to my care. During the 2014-15 school year, I was awarded the “Pettus Award for Excellence in Teaching”. This award recognizes “teachers who inspire students to achieve and who has the respect and admiration of students, parents, and colleagues.”

When I am not working, I enjoy dining out, shopping, traveling, and spending time with my family. Thank you for taking time to visit my page.
