• Dear Parents,

Welcome Back!!! My name is Aaron Arnold and I'm beginning my 4th year as your child’s Physical Education teacher here at Oak Hill Elementary. I cannot wait to start another school year and I'm so excited to have all those virtual students back for in-person learning.

In Physical Education it's expected that students come to learn, expect a challenge, and that students treat their peers with respect. At Oak Hill we strive to create a positive learning environment that nurtures student-growth through cross-curricular activities that assist the kinesthetic learner.

We will continue to incorporate health-education into our daily routine during the 2020-2021 school year. Student grades will be divided into three categories; participation, classwork (quizzes, handouts, group-work, etc.), and assessments (physical & written) - 60% of a student's final grade is participation.

Girls on the Run will be offered this year as an after-school program; contact eithe myself, Ms. Wenger, or Ms. Fallon for more information regarding participation. I'm also looking to begin an after-school program called My City, My Health, My Future. This program will be a place where students can be physically active after-school while also providing a safe, positive environment for students to complete school work & seek extra help. More information will be forthcoming...

I’ll always be available to teach, guide, assist, celebrate with, and listen to you and your child(ren) whenever you need me. Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions or concerns at (314) 324-1879, or e-mail me at Aaron.Arnold@slps.org.

I look forward to a fun, safe, and fit school year.

    Aaron Arnold
