Welcome to 3rd grade!

I teach 3rd Grade ELA (reading, writing, and grammar). Mrs. Pitzer also teaches 3rd Grade with me, and she teaches Math, Science, and Social Studies. See her website for more detail about her!

This is my fourth year teaching, but my fifth year with Mann. I recieved my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri--St. Louis, my student teaching was completed here at Mann. I've only ever known Mann, so this is my home. I love my students and this school. I love coming in every day to sweet, smiling faces ready to take on the day. I teach third grade reading and writing. With that, reading can be tough. It takes a lot of perseverence and grit. I pride myself on trying to unlock all of my students' abilities to read and write wherever they are on their educational journey. I do my best to cultivate a classroom of teamwork and hard work.

This year is going to be another year unlike any other. I am so excited to be in the classroom again. While we are still learning to navigate this year, I will be doing everything I can to support my students and parents. Together, we will make the best of every day. We will learn new things, make mistakes, and get creative!
