Dear Fourth Graders and Families,
I am so happy to welcome you to Fourth Grade this school year! We have an exciting and fun year planned. As all you know we will begin the year virtually and hope to be in the classroom later this school year. I know this is different than years past but we will work together as a class to have an interactive, fun, virtual classroom environment. I am excited to get to know each and every one of my scholars! Together we will become a strong, supportive Fourth Grade family.
Teaching children is my honor and privilege. I look forward to seeing my scholars every day. They inspire me in more ways than I could ever imagine possible. I believe each child is a unique individual with their own way of learning. It is my goal to provide each child with an educational environment that provides them with their needs and help them to discover the joy of learning.
This is my third year at Humboldt Academy of Higher Learning. My husband and I are parents to eight children and we have three grandchildren with two more on the way! Some of my favorite activities are family time, traveling, reading, and outdoor activities.
It is important to have open communication between my students, their families, and myself. I can be reached by email or phone (call or text). If I am unable to immediately answer your email, call, or text; I will respond to you within twenty-four hours. I will be sending home weekly updates regarding student work, classroom information, and assignments. I welcome communication from families to help me become more knowledgeable about my students to help them with their educational goals.
Degree: Bachelor of Science in Education - Summa Cum Laude - Harris Stowe State University - emphasis in Mathematics
