Welcome to Ms. Jones' Class page!

I am the 1st grade teacher at Meramec Elementary School for the 2022-2023 school year. This is my fifth year as a teacher and at Meramec. I previously taught kindergarten for two years and preschool for an additional two years; I am so excited about this new chapter in life in 1st grade. I especially enjoy teaching early exploration of science as well as social emotional skills.

A little about myself: I am 27 years old. I moved from Fairview Heights, IL to Dutchtown in 2020. I graduated from Southern Illinois University (Edwardsville) with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. In May, I earned a Curriculum & Instruction Master's degree through Lindenwood University. In my free time I enjoy reading the Harry Potter book series, traveling to new places around the globe, and taking photographs. I love being part of the Meramec Tiger family and I look forward to welcoming our families and guiding our children in learning.
