Meet Your Teacher
Hello! I am Kathryn Noelle, and this is my 2nd year teaching 2nd grade and my 3rd year at Nance Elementary. My Husband and I live in the St. Louis area with our 6 year old and 2 cats! We have recently become foster parents for the State of Missouri and our family is ready to grow!
I attended Central Methodist University and received my B.S. in Middle School Education – Mathematics. Math is my passion. While my background is in middle school, I also am certified to teach Elementary. I worked two years as a math aide before coming to Nance.I love working in early elementary, because I help ensure that your child has a good educational foundation for their academic future! My goal is to ensure that ALL children leave 2nd grade with the tools they need to be successful in future endeavors.
Our Class Family
I am pleased to welcome you to the 2020 - 2021 school year! I am looking forward to having your child as a student. Second grade is such a fun year with so many wonderful learning activities to celebrate. I know this year will look different for us, as we are starting out online, but it is my goal to create a strong classroom family. In 2nd grade we work hard to build a classroom family. Even though we will be learning through TEAMS, every student will be respected, loved, and valued. We will work together as a classroom community to build lasting relationships and core values.
Virtual Learning Expectations
We are going to start strong this fall semester! Even though our world is changing and we are faced with much uncertainty, your child’s education is valued and matters. We are not letting a pandemic separate us from our goals or set us back from learning. Students are expected to be logged onto the virtual platforms everyday, they are expected to engage in live lessons, and complete assignments. Grades will be given over the fall semester based on mastery of standards. Please know that we are going to do everything we can to ensure that your child is successful in 2nd grade! I will use small group instruction to help you child if more support is needed. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if there is an issue with completion of assignments.
