Hello Panda Families!
I am Tanisha Stanciel. I am a transplant to Saint Louis, MO. Before relocating to Saint Louis, I lived in the small, town of Paris, MO and graduated from Paris R-II High School. I then attended Missouri Western State University in Saint Joseph, MO and graduated with a BS degree in Communication/Public Relations. It was after I began as a teacher's assistant within the Saint Joseph School District, I decided to pursue my teacher certification in special education. I graduated with MA in Special Education-Emotional and Behavioral Disorders from Walden University. After locating to Saint Louis, I then pursued my leadership certification from Lindenwood University.
I enjoy being a part of a team where all students succeed socially, emotionally and academically within the educational setting. Helping students achieve their goals with adequate progress through differentiated learning is a passion of mine. I have spent a great deal of time focusing on academic and behavioral intervention to assist all students succeed at various learning levels.
When I am not educating children, I enjoy spending time with my 11-year-old son. I also have Alopecia Areata. Alopecia is an autoimmune disease of the hair follicles. I am the greater Saint Louis area support group leader for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation located in California.
