Mr. Padraic O'Donnell
I am grateful to be part of the Carnahan family; we truly work as a team to focus on each student's success.
After graduating from Northern Illinois University and attaining my master's degree from St. John's College, I began my career in education as a high school math and English teacher in Santa Fe, New Mexico. After moving back home to Chicago, I worked as an instructional coach at the Chicago High School of the Arts for four years. Now in my fourth year in SLPS, my vision for coaching teachers remains the same:
1. I strongly desire to raise the inherent respect and dignity of the teaching profession and to acknowledge the privilege it is to be an educator.
2. I coach teachers to discover ways of working and being that are joyful and rewarding, and will result in positive outcomes for our students.
3. I coach people to find their own power and to empower others so that we can transform our school and our district.
If you have any questions or want more information about Carnahan's academic goals for this year, please reach out to me.
