Ms. Mahoganie Bryant

Who is Ms. Bryant?

Hello! My name is Mahoganie Bryant and I am a 36-year-old mother of 2 daughters, McKiya and Mariya.  I was born and raised in downtown St. Louis City and received a quality education through the SLPS school district. I attended Jefferson Elementary for Kindergarten through 4th grade. I then attended Gateway Elementary for 5th grade before moving on to Gateway Middle School for 6th-8th grade. I went on to attend Gateway High my 9th and 10th grade year before transferring to Vashon High School where I graduated in 2003.  I received my bachelor’s degree in education from Harris-Stowe University in May of 2017 and my Masters in Education Administration from Lindenwood University.

My career as a teacher began in August of 2017 at Nance Elementary School where I taught 5th and 6th grade math for 2 years.  I then moved on to teach 7th grade math at Compton Drew ILC Middle School.  Currently I am teaching 4th grade at Ames  Visual and Performing Arts Elementary School.  I have always had a passion to educate children.  I enjoy working hands-on with all of my students and believe that positive relationships are the starting foundation for student academic success.  Learning is continuous and I am dedicated to providing my students with 100%.
