Name: Amber Watson
Grade/Subject Taught: 8th Grade Science
Room Number: 303
Greetings! My name is Amber Watson and I am the 8th grade science teacher here at Yeatman-Liddell College Preparatory Middle School for the 2019-2020 academic year. I am so excited to be a part of the Yeatman family and serve my community of greater St. Louis.
Born and raised in St. Louis City, I am the product of St. Louis Public Schools. I recently graduated from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana and I am pursuing my master’s degree at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. I have had multiple opportunities to perform my own research within the Biology department at my university, Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Cincinnati. Along with high academic achievement and personal development, I hope to expose scholars to different opportunities within science through field experiences, guest speakers and career exploration.
I truly believe that the foundation of a strong and successful classroom is partnership between teacher and parent/guardian/family members. I would love to collaborate and work closely with those who care deeply for our 8th grade scholars.
I have created a Remind group that sends updates via text message. If you are interested, you may text "@6k7ka4" to 81010.
If you have any questions/concerns or would simply like to chat about your scholar, please feel free to call me at 314-328-5197 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I am attaching a copy of the syllabus for you to view at your leisure.
Students will be starting a unit on energy and waves on Wednesday, August 28. In class assignments, homework, and exit slips will be more consistent. If you or your student have any questions about assignments and when they are due, I will be updating the class calendar and homework tab regularly. More information will also be going out about tutoring opportunities.
