Mrs. Lindsay Steuber
Welcome to Mrs. Steuber's 5th Grade Class!
About Me:
I was born and raised in the city of Saint Louis! After graduating from the University of Kansas in 2014 with a degree in Behavioral Science, I worked as a behavioral therapist in clinical, school, home and social environments. This fostered a dedication to promote student learning in the classroom setting with special attention to social and emotional learning. In 2017, my husband and I moved to Columbia, MO as I worked in Columbia Public Schools in student support. It was during that time that I graduated from William Woods with a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. My husband and I returned to Saint Louis where I began working at Woodward Elementary in 5th grade. I am currently enrolled in Maryville University's Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership program.
In my free time, I can be found hiking with my husband and our sweet dogs. I also enjoy crafting, doing yoga, and reading.
My teaching philosophy combines the importance of lifelong learning and emotional growth. I implement a culmination of Restorative Practices and schoolwide PBiS. I believe learning to process emotions early in life leads to a healthy and happy one. Knowing the self enables one to grow to their fullest potential.
