Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Michelle Dallas
This is my first year teaching at Carnahan High School of the Future (CHSOF). I am grateful to be amongst a welcoming and supportive team of professionals, and a creative and intelligent body of scholars. I have been in the teaching field since 2005, and now I teach 12th grade African American Literature and Service Learning. I graduated from Harris-Stowe State University (HSSU) in 2004 with my Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education. Presently, I am studying for my Master of Education degree in Higher Education Administration at the University of Missouri St. Louis (UMSL).
In my spare time, I like to read, exercise/play sports, sing, write songs, play the keyboard, and travel with my family and friends. I have three young children who desparately want a puppy (I'm working on that!) and who are extra proud to have a mother who is a professional teacher; to them I am a super hero, hence, I believe that teachers are "educational heroes." We come to the aid of learners and rescue them from the academic, behavioral, emotional, social, mental, and even economical pitfalls in their paths. We lead learners to a embrace an optimistic, diverse, and healthy mindset needed for 21st Century living and success.
