Biography: Ms. Stephens is a Speech and Language Pathologist at St. Louis Public School with a varied student caseload from grades PreK-12. Ms. Stephens’ manages the Speech / Language (S/L) Program at Yeatman-Liddell Middle School to promote communication confidence among the 6th – 8th grade scholars. Scholars who have been identified with exceptional speech, language or hearing delays will be provided intervention to support scholars in the social – academic learning setting. Ms. Stephens delivers speech and language services within a therapy model as well as the use of differentiated teaching models to help communication students attain individual education program (IEP) goals. Ms. Stephens’ S/L student population is established through comprehensive assessments, Missouri standards and indicators as well as a multi-disciplinary team decision.
Ms. Stephens attained undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as Life/Long Certification in Speech-Language Pathology from Kean University, in New Jersey. She continued to pursue post graduate studies in Teaching / Learning Masters of Education at National University in California. As a result of professional studies, Ms. Stephens values cultural diversity awareness and Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS). She strives to inspire all to their greatness and effective communication.
Ms. Stephens’ routine practice of classical stretch provides mindfulness and physical strength to accomplish daily activities. She enjoys the outdoors especially the coastal regions and mountain ranges and is challenged with a short game of golf and playing bridge.
