Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Mr. Muhammad and I am the new school counselor at Peabody Elementary school. I attended Cleveland N.J.R.O.T.C. high school, and I graduated from Harris-Stowe State College in 2005 with my Bachelors in Education. After graduating I taught 5th grade at Mark Twain Elementary School for one year before moving to Chicago. I taught 6th grade for one year and 3rd grade for two years in the Chicago Public School system. I received my Masters in School Counseling from Chicago State University in 2011. After graduating I worked for a mental health agency for a year before moving back to St. Louis, were I have served in various positions classroom teacher, school counselor, and mental health therapist. I believe we all have the responsibility to ensure that the students receive the best education they can receive, to prepare them to successfully navigate the world in which they live in. I want to make sure that your expectations are met, and I want us to be able to work together to enhance the education of our children.
