Mr. Hobart

Students and Parents,

For young children, please watch this video to help make some sense of the "Stay at Home" order.

I’m glad our city leaders decided to close schools and ask everyone to stay home to keep us healthy. I’m sad that we will spend so much time apart.

Please remember why we go to school. Structured learning is so helpful. It helps us reach our potential. Learning happens in so many ways. Make time for learning each day. Plan times to watch educational shows, listen to something that teaches you about someone or something you don’t already know, or read anything that sharpens your mind. And don’t forget to write, call, or text someone you love.

It’s so important to keep each other safe by keeping a social distance of 2 meters, and it’s important to let one another know that we’re thinking about them. Calls, text, and video chats can keep relationships strong from a distance. This helps our mental and emotional strength.

PE is an important class that teaches us a lot about the body and fun ways to keep it active. It’s so important for your mental and emotional health to continue physical activity. Look up an exercise video on youtube and do it at home. I did that with my nephews 3 days ago and my muscles still hurt! Soon Mr. Weiss will have videos for you to continue familiar activities. Here is one of the videos I followed (as much as I could) with my nephews.
