     Employment Experiences:

My employment history with SLPS, began as a Substitute teacher of eighth grade students.

I was hired the next semester at another school as an (ICA) Individual Care Aide, to take care of an Autistic Student.

After three years I was promoted to a (LLI) Leveled Literacy Intervention Fellow, where I progress monitored First-Fifth Grade, students at various schools. This position allowed me to work with students that were reading below their grade level.  I helped these selected students increase their reading scores, by setting high expectations and pushing their imaginations through reading books that showed them that reading could take them all over the world.

My hobbies are Interior Decorating, Gardening and Reading Children's Literature.

I enjoy teaching children to read.

I became a mentor for students at SLPS long before becoming an employee.

Volunteer Facilitator at Annie's Hope Center For Grieving Kids.
