I am a product of Saint Louis Public Schools. I attended Farragut Elementary, Yeatman-Liddell Middle School and graduated from Beaumont High School in 1993. I went on to obtain my Bachelor of Science degree from Harris-Stowe State University and then obtaining my Masters in Secondary Education from University of Missouri-St. Louis. I then went on to complete the teacher’s program with Missouri Baptist University to receive my teacher certification.

I have worked with many children in the City of St. Louis. I begin my journey in the field of Early Childhood in February 1997. This journey began with a local Head Start program in the metropolitan area of St. Louis. I have over fifteen years’ experience in the realm of early childhood. I have held positions such as a Teacher Assistant, Lead Teacher and Family Service Worker. I am now the Early Childhood Instructor here at Roosevelt. My students gain knowledge and acquire skills to work in the field of Early Childhood.

I am the mother of three daughters and two sons. My children are the reason I chose the education field. I wanted to be able to work while they were at school and at home with them when they weren’t in school. In my spare time, I like to be around my family or curled up with a good book. I live by the motto failure is not an option.

Quote inspired by Dr. Seuss- I meant what I said, I said what I meant, college or career readiness 100%.
