Miss Danyell Hamilton
I was adopted from Seoul, South Korea but I have lived in Webster Groves, MO almost my entire life. I graduated from Webster Groves High School in 2007. I graduated with an Associates of Arts in General Transfer Studies from St. Louis Community College- Meramec in 2009. I pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO and then returned home to graduate from University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2012. I graduated with a dual degree of Master of Arts in Licensed Professional Counseling and School Counseling from Missouri Baptist University in 2014.
I have 17 years of experience working with children using different lenses. I have worked with preschoolers up to high schoolers as a leader, Special Education paraprofessional, subsitute teacher and counselor. I worked for four years at an alternative school in Kansas City, MO where 90-95% of the students are wards of the state and live in a group home together. All of the students suffered from different traumas in their lives and I worked alongside therapists and teachers to best help these students succeed. I enjoy getting to know each student and giving them a voice to help them to succeed academically, socially and emotionally. I have used my experience working with past students to help the students of Washington Montessori.
As always, feel free to reach out and ask any questions that I may help you with.
