Dr. Nick Reed
Hello! This is my first year at Gateway and I will be teaching Anatomy and Physiology for seniors and Physics for freshmen. I was born and raised in St. Louis and graduated from JFK High School in 2008. I then went to undergraduate school at Truman State University in Kirksville, MO where I studied Biology and French. For the 2012-2013 academic year, I taught English at a high school in Lille, France, then came back to St. Louis and worked as a psychiatric technician until starting graduate school at Saint Louis University in 2014. After 5 years of classes, teaching, and research, I received my PhD in Anatomy with a concentration in Neurobiology in August of 2019. I then spent 6 months living in Marseille, France continuing my studies of the French language and volunteering on a refugee project with Doctors Without Borders until I came home at the end of March 2020 for reasons related to COVID-19. I am passionate about science and research, and I love talking with students and helping them to develop a vision for their life and their future. I look forward to working with you this year!
