    Hello 3rd grade families!

Welcome back! I hope you have had a great summer and are all doing well during these unpredictable times. My name is Kama Roth and I am super excited to begin my second year teaching your children at Dewey! I am a mother of four amazing kids (ages 12, 12, 11, 10) and I have two sweet dogs.  We love to spend time outside and having meals together to catch up on the day.

Teaching has been a goal and a dream of mine since I was a little girl.  I am a great example of "life happening", perseverance and accomplishing what you set your mind to.  And now I have been given the opportunity to love on our next generation of young people.

My goals for the 21-22 school year are to foster a trusting relationship with each student and their family.  I am also excited to either plant a seed of the love of learning or cultivate a previously planted seed.  I am optimistic that change will happen within my students' minds this coming year.  I am proof that possibilities are endless.

Some of the things I am most passionate about are as follows (in no particular order):

    • Being an anti-racist

    • Asking questions

    • Equity

    • Equality

    • Diversity

    • Those I love

    • Acceptance

    • Hard Work

    • Doing your best at everything you do

    • Curiosity
