My name is Dan Fister, and I have been an educator for over six years. I have taught in St. Louis and Columbia, Missouri; and I have also taught English in China for three years. I am from St. Louis and am excited to teach in my home town again!

I studied Human Ecology and Agriculture at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. I later became certified to teach middle and high school English through the ABCTE program. I really enjoy literature and language-learning, and am eager to share my passion for reading and writing with Compton-Drew Students!

As an educator, I am hoping these challenging times will become opportunities for our learning community to help create a more just, safe, interesting, and prosperous city and world.
