Hello Everyone! My name is Mrs. Pretzer and I was born in the Caribbean island of Barbados. This will be my second year at Long and I will be teaching 8th Grade Science.  I have two bachelor's degrees, one in Public Health Nutrition and Dietetics. I also completed my Master's degree in Public Health at Kansas State Univerisity. While at Kansas State Univeristy I also competed in track and field and was named an Academic All-American. 

I enjoy cooking, baking, and watching any kind of sports. My husband and I enjoy doing these things together and we are also involving our toddler daughter into everything we do.

I am extremely excited to be teaching at Long International Middle School because of its diverse community. I can relate to many students in terms of learning about the American culture, foods, music and language. I look forward to going on this learning journey together!
