Dr. Azalia Carter
Over the past 18 years, Dr. Carter has worked as a teacher, education consultant, and administrator. Dr. Carter started her career in education as a high school science and math teacher. After leaving the classroom, she worked for a number of educational companies partnering with school districts in the St. Louis region and across the country to increase student achievement. She comes to Collegiate from La Salle Middle School where she served as the Director of Engagement & Technology, working with the entire school community to foster positive, caring, and meaningful teaching and learning experiences.
Dr. Carter is the mother to two awesome young adults who think she is the best mom ever. Maya is a junior at Kentucky State University, and Zach is a freshman at Rhodes College in Memphis. In her spare time, Dr. Carter likes to travel and attend sporting events.
