I am originally from Westmoreland, Jamaica. I moved to St. Louis, MO a little over 10 years ago because my father lives here. I hold an AAS in general Studies degree with a concentration on communication from St. Louis Community college-Florissant Valley, a BA in general studies with a concentration in education with a minor in psychology from Harris-Stowe State University and I just obtained my MAT-Curriculum, Instruction and Public Education from St. Louis University.
This year I will be teaching a section from all three grade levels along with being a Special Education Resource! I am super excited about this role as I have worked with both 7th and 8th grades in previous years. I will be utilizing my innate curiosity and logical prowess, I am a catalyst for growth and innovation. As an explainer and perfectionist, I strive to unravel complexities, inspire understanding, and drive excellence in all endeavors.
My favorite thing to do right now is mentoring and traveling. I founded a non-profit mentoring program geared towards mentoring young girls. I love to travel and learn new languages! It is such a fantastic world out there and I am fortunate to get to travel as much as time permits. I am also a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated. I am passionate about learning and education, and I hope that I can be a positive change in your child’s life! Please contact me about your child's progress at any time!
