Mr. Ronald Banks
Ron Banks is a native St. Louisian. He spent all of his life growing up in North St. Louis and being educated in the St. Louis Public Schools, later graduating from Central High School. While attending public schools he acquired a love for sports. He played baseball, soccer, football and basketball. After high school, he attended Harris Stowe State College and earned a B.A. Degree in Elementary Education and Physical Education. Later he earned a M.A. in Administration from Lindenwood University. Mr. Banks was sauted with many honors in college for basketball and baseball, such as Athlete of the Year and the All Tournament Team, to name a few.
After graduating from Harris -Stowe, he accepted a teaching postion in Fort Worth, Texas at the Fort Worth Indepentent School District. He spent his time there teaching elementary and middle school for seven years. He returned home and continued his teaching career in elementary school, middle school and high school in Hazelwood School District. He coached football on the freshmen level for ten years at East High. Mr. Banks became the Varsity Boy's Basketball Coach for fourteen years and Physical Education teacher at Hazelwood East High School. Upon retirement from basketball, his love for the game remained with him.
Mr. Banks spends his time being a father to his two daughters Kaicee and Rachele. He loves to play softball and spends a lot of time traveling with the team. He enjoys watching sports live and on the television and spending time with family and friends.
