Greetings!

As Assistant Principal of Academics at Gateway STEM High School, it is an honor and privilege to serve the Gateway STEM Community. I am committed to helping minimize barriers to student achievement and community involvement; because I believe that all children can learn given the right environment and resources.

In addition to my work in K-12 Schools, I am also a recognized author, studying and reporting the impact of methods of teaching with interdisciplinary learning strategies on students’ reading and math achievement, Leadership in Times of Change, and the role of Career and Technical Education in workforce development.

Prior to joining St. Louis Public School District, I served as Associate Professor and Coordinator of Workforce Education and Development, Assistant Professor of Adult and Career Education, Graduate Assistant and Instructor of Workforce Education and Development, Middle School Librarian, and High School Business and Technology Teacher. Through these experiences, I have cultivated my knowledge and skills in effective instruction and leadership and look forward to sharing those professional practices with members of our community, student body, and faculty and staff team.

In the coming year, my work will focus on enhancing academic achievement at the school and working specifically with our students whose last names start with L-Z.  I look forward to working with you as we collectively redefine and amplify our work in preparing every child to be college and career ready.
