Hello Herzog Tigers!

My name is Miss Michaelis and I am so excited about being your art teacher! I am originally from Springfield, Missouri. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting from the Kansas City Art Institute, and my Masters in Teaching from Missouri State. 

I am an artist, I attend lots of art shows and art fairs, and my favorite mediums are watercolor and oil paint. 

I love taking care of plants (I have almost 50!) and my two cats, Pippin and Pluto.

I look forward to meeting you all and being creative with you in our art class this year!
