Mrs. Brittany Robinson

Hello Soldan Tigers!

I'm Mrs. Robinson and I'm excited to be back at Soldan for another great year! I teach English 1, English 2, and Creative Writing. If you're coming to my class this year be prepared to learn something new everyday and have fun doing it.

A Little About Me:

This is my 6th year teaching in SLPS, and my 8th year working in education. I believe that every student deserves a quality education and that every child has the ability to succeed. Last year my husband and I welcomed our first baby, Violet. Stop by my room and I will show you a ton of super cute baby pictures! In my free time I enjoy watching animated shows, playing video games, and of course reading. I'm excited to learn exciting and interesting things about you all as well. Whehter you have me in class this year or not, stop by to say hi, get a high-five, and have a great day!

My Favorite Books of All Time

  • Anne of Green Gables

by L.M. Montgomery Year Published: 1908 YA Fiction

" Anne Shirley, an eleven-year-old orphan, has arrived in this verdant corner of Prince Edward Island only to discover that the Cuthberts—elderly Matthew and his stern sister, Marilla—want to adopt a boy, not a feisty redheaded girl. But before they can send her back, Anne—who simply must have more scope for her imagination and a real home—wins them over completely. A much-loved classic that explores all the vulnerability, expectations, and dreams of a child growing up, Anne of Green Gables is also a wonderful portrait of a time, a place, a family… and, most of all, love." - From Goodreads.com

  • Strange The Dreamer

by Laini Taylor Year Published: 2017 YA Fantasy

"The dream chooses the dreamer, not the other way around--and Lazlo Strange, war orphan and junior librarian, has always feared his dream chose poorly. Since he was just five years old, he's been obsessed with the mythic lost city of Weep, but it would take someone bolder than he to cross half the world in search of it. Then a stunning opportunity presents itself, in the form of a hero called the Godslayer and a band of legendary warriors, and he has to seize his chance or lose his dream forever.

What happened in Weep two hundred years ago to cut it off from the rest of the world? And who is the blue-skinned goddess who appears in Lazlo's dreams?

In this sweeping and breathtaking novel by National Book Award finalist Laini Taylor, author of the New York Times bestselling Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy, the shadow of the past is as real as the ghosts who haunt the citadel of murdered gods. Fall into a mythical world of dread and wonder, moths and nightmares, love and carnage.

The answers await in Weep."- From Amazon.com

  • The Name of The Wind

by Patrick Rothfuss Year Published: 2008 Fantasy

"You may have heard of me. So begins a tale unequaled in fantasy literature—the story of a hero told in his own voice. It is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend."- From Amazon.com
