My name is Joe Cooper. I began teaching in SLPS in 2011 at Central VPA. I filled several different roles, however, I was mainly a Biology and Environmental Science Teacher. In 2018, I took the position of Consultant Teacher and Induction Coach for the district. In 2023, I completed my Reading Specialist Certification and accepted the position of Academic Instructional Coach at Vashon High School. I am excited to be back in a school community and to be working at the famous Vashon High School. I look forward to not only working with teachers, but with students, administrators and parents to continue to improve the education offered at Vashon. Come see me. I am here to help!
