• Mrs. Johnson

My name is Mrs. Freddie Johnson. I am the 4th/5th grade boys' teacher at Woerner Elementary.

I started at Woerner in 2001 as a 2nd grade teacher.  After 7 years I left the classroom and became a school librarian. However, in 2011 I returned to the classroom this time as a 4th grade same gender teacher.  I always missed the classroom so I was excited to learned that Woerner School had a classroom for me.  It was good to be back home where I belong.

Teaching 4th/5th grade boys gives me the opportunity to focus on one gender.  Each class adopted a theme or mascot.  We are the Royal Knights!  The Royal Knights have a positive and motivational pledge that they recite each morning after the morning announcements.

Even though I enjoy having fun I do have high expectation for each of my students.  I believe that every child can learn but they learn at a different pace and they have different learning styles.  My expectations are students should come to school with the necessary tools and mind set for learning.  They are expected to complete all classwork and homework assignments.  They are expected to follow all school and classroom expectations.  They are expected to be safe, be responsible, be respectful, be prepared, and do their best.

I want to welcome you and your child to an exciting 2020-2021 school year.  I am available from 8:35-9:25 AM by appointment.
