My name is Diane Smith and this will be my 43rd year of teaching. I have been at Woodward School for 25 years. I began my teaching career at Hamilton Branch #1 teaching 3rd grade. The school closed and I was assigned to Farragut School. I taught at Farragut for 14 years where I was moved to Kindergarten. I received the Pettus Teacher of Excellence Award in 2007. I was nominated for Kindergarten Teacher of the Year in 2000.
I am married to Randy Smith. I have 2 children, Josh-32 years old and Lindsey-31 years old. Josh is an architect and Lindsey is a preschool teacher at Henry Elementary. I have five grandchildren, Olivia-12 years old , Hunter-5 years old, Reid-3 years old, Audrey-3 years old, and Nora-1 year.
My hobbies are cooking and entertaining. My favorite color is purple. I like flowers and dark chocolate candy.
