"The air was soft, the stars so fine, the promise of every cobbled alley so great, that I thought I was in a dream."
- Jack Kerouac, On the Road
Language is more than the words we put together to achieve understanding with our fellow man. Language is something magical. It’s a mix of sound and thought – something fleeting that marks a moment in time. I want students to understand that through practice, writing can be an art and reading can open their minds to some of the greatest things ever written on this planet.
