Biography: I am originally from Pocahontas, IL and grew up on a farm raising cows, pigs, and pumpkins.  I am the oldest of five brothers who all play baseball and hockey, however I also play a mean game of soccer.  Currently, I am the Varsity Head Coach for the boy's and girl's soccer program here at Soldan.
My bachelor's degree is in History from Truman State University and my Masters degree is in Education and History from University of Missouri.  In fact, I taught history for 4 years before I began teaching Biological and Physical sciences.  I have completed my second Master's in Sciencein Biology at Washington University.  This year will be my 12th year teaching science here at Soldan.  My proudest accomplishment here at Soldan is creating the PLTW Biomedical Science program in connection with Washington University to develop highly interested and motivated students into STEM careers.  My second proudest moment at Soldan is taking the Boys Soccer team to a second place finish in the MIssouri State Soccer Tournament.
