This is my second year as the CA team leader.  I am also involved in the monthly newsletter, Mercury Messenger, Discipline Team, Climate Committee, and 8th Grade Promotion.
Teacher Message:   Parents, please be sure that your child is reading for at least 20 minutes every night!  This year, our goal is to complete two book reports a quarter.  Therefore, students should always be reading in order to meet the due dates for these reports.  Also, students will always have vocabulary words to study each night; students should also practice using new words correctly in conversations and writing.
Biography:  I grew up in Kirkwood and attended private schools for grade school and high school.  In 2005, I graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Elementary Education as well as Middle School Education with an emphasis in Language Arts.  Last spring, I finished my Master's in Education program at Webster University with a degree in Special Education.
During my free time, I love to be outside with my sweet dog, Teddy.  He is a German Shepard mix and an all-around nut!  During the summer, I enjoy being outside and watching Cardinal's baseball.  But in the fall, it's Tiger time!  Now that Mizzou has hit in big in football and basketball, I love to watch and cheer on my team.  It's about time, everyone started cheering for the Tigers!
This is currently my fifth year at Busch-AAA as a Communication Arts teacher.  We have made a lot of changes this year and I hope that everyone is as excited as I am.  If there are ever any questions, please email me at the above address or feel free to call during my plan time!
