Degrees and Certifications:

Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from Missouri State University 2009

Mrs. Jamie Dubbs

I am so excited to start out another year here at Mann Elementary. My name is Jamie Dubbs and I will be your child’s Pre-Kindergarten teacher. To have a place of growing knowledge and acceptance is what I want for my classroom. I would hope that we will be able to work towards a successful year together.

I was born and raised in St. Louis and attended Missouri State University where I graduated with a degree in elementary education with an emphasis in early childhood education. I am married to my husband Dale and we have one son who turned one in June. We have an English Bulldog named Bucky who is 4 ½!

This will be my 9th year at Mann Elementary and I have taught PK all 9 of those years. I have worked with Mr. Kenner our teacher assistant for 8 of those 9 years. We are an unstoppable team in the classroom.

Teaching has always been a passion for me. I have a love for learning and I hope that my students would also learn to love learning as much as I do. In the past while in the school building, I strive for making the classroom a safe, fun and disciplined place for my students, I would hope that they will enjoy coming to school and learning something new every day. The start of this year is a little different and I am hoping to develop meaningful relationships with each student even if when we only see each other virtually to start. I feel that all children are different and require special attention and affection for them to flourish. I will strive to be that for each of my students; an educator who loves each child that walks in her door (or joins a virtual class meeting) and gives each of them not only an education, but a passion to learn.

This year will definitely be a fun and unusual  year, but as in every school year, things can and will come up. I believe that a successful year starts with an open communication line between parents and teachers. Please feel free to call/text (314-492-1299), email (Jamie.dubbs@slps.org), send message on classdojo with any questions or concerns. I will get back to you within 24 hours.

Thank you!
