    Teacher Message: WELCOME!
Hello scholars! My name is Mrs. Costello. I am a passionate 3rd Grade teacher at Hamilton Elementary. This year is my 8th year as a Hamilton Panther. I am excited for this upcoming year and look forward to building a supportive learning community. I hope you are ready for an academically fueled year of reading, writing, thinking, and and talking daily.
Panther P.R.I.D.E. is an expectation in my classroom! The basis of these student friendly norms can be applied to all areas of the building... and in life. Lets show off our roaring Panther P.R.I.D.E. and make this the best year ever!
I was born in Bridgeton, Missouri. I attended Pattonville School District from kindergarten through 12 grade. I earned my Early Childhood Education degree from Webster University in 2007. I was a student athlete and still have a sligthly competetive side. I learned the importance of organization and mulitasking to keep up with the endless demands of being a full time student, an athlete, and a part time employee.
I love my family and friends! You can catch us BBQ-ing and play yard games just about every weekend that the weather will allow. I have a 9 year old spunky dog named Cash, I will be married 3 years this September, I am a Mom to a perfect 19 month old baby boy, and I am actively exploring all of the St. Louis attractions to build fun experiences and memories with my little family.
I started working in the field of education as a substitute teacher. I later took a position as a Teacher's Assistant, and then a specialized support staff, focusing on the areas of math and reading interventions. During the 2011-2012 school year, I became part of the Hamilton family! #HamFam I have genuinely enjoyed the staff I have had the pleasure to work with and the dynamic students that I have been able to learn from over the past 8 years.
I recently decided to persue some of my own educational goals and jumped back into the desk at Webster University. I never knew how much I missed being the student in the classroom. I am very excited to continue to implement the inovative strategies I learned while persuing my Master's in Reading and Literacy. I will continue to take classes this year to further my knowledge.
I am so excited to hit the ground running this school year! Let the fun begin!
