Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world.

Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.

At Central VPA, we are committed to promoting respect and understanding for our school community.  Every day we make choices. We can choose to let racism, anti-Semitism, and other forms of bigotry go unchallenged and potentially escalate, or we can choose to confront the bias that we see in our schools, workplaces, homes, and communities. As our world becomes smaller, our schools and communities more diverse, it is more critical than ever to actively build bridges to cross-cultural understanding and mutual respect.
The Anti-Defamation League is proud to launch its No Place For Hate® campaign in the Missouri/Southern Illinois region. This program was developed to organize schools and communities to work together and develop projects that enhance the appreciation of diversity and foster harmony amongst diverse groups. The No Place for Hate® campaign empowers communities, especially schools, to promote respect for individual and group differences while challenging prejudice and bigotry.

To become a No Place for Hate® School, CVPA had to:

ü  Complete the No Place for Hate® School Intent form.

ü  Encourage school administration, staff and the student body to sign the Resolution of Respect. To access the pledge, please click here:Pledge

ü  Complete at least three activities that promote respect while challenging prejudice and bigotry.

ü  Submit the Activity Fulfillment Form as each activity is completed.

Schools completing the No Place for Hate® campaign within the academic school year will be given recognition both publicly and within their school environment.
