Born and raised in St. Louis, Mrs. Terrance (formerly Ms. Gage) completed Bachelors Degrees at Saint Louis University (2012) and Webster University (2014) in Music Studies and Choral Music Education. She taught middle and high school choir at Grand Center Arts Academy for two years before coming to teach Pre-K through 6th grade music at Patrick Henry. She absolutely LOVES teaching elementary and is so inspired by the creativity of her students! Her favorite part of every day is seeing the smiles on her students faces as they explore new ways to create music. Outside of school, Mrs. Terrance is a representative for the state of Missouri through the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America (CASA). Utilizing her years of experience as a collegiate and semi-professional a cappella singer, she represents all high school, collegiate, and post-collegiate a cappella groups in the state. She also serves as a judge for the International Championship of Collegiate and High School A Cappella (the competition made famous by the movie Pitch Perfect). Each year, she gets to travel to various states throughout the Midwest to offer feedback to groups competing in this competition.
She currently lives in Kirkwood with her husband (who is also in education and works for Ritenour Middle!) and their two dogs, Atlas and Zeus.
