
Mrs. Martin is currently the Academic Instructional Coach at Shenandoah Elementary School and a strong advocate for ensuring all students receive a quality education. She encourages the teachers she works with to do what is necessary to reach every student in his or her class. Her professional interests focus on teaching literacy, researching best practices for instruction, and coaching teachers. In addition, she is part of the School Leadership Team at Shenandoah and is a member of the International Literacy Association.
Mrs. Martin received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Wichita State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Southwest Baptist University. She also earned her Master’s degree in elementary education with a focus in reading from the University of Missouri St. Louis and most recently earned her Doctorate degree in Teacher Leadership from Maryville University.
Outside of school Mrs. Martin enjoys spending time with her family. She also enjoys scrapbooking, home decorating and Pinterest!
