Welcome Nance Families to another exciting year of learning! We will begin this year differently but will still remain Nance Strong.

My name is Jessica Sharp and I have lived in St. Louis for most of my life.  I was educated in the St. Louis Public Schools and I graduated from Gateway Institute of Technology. Go Jaguars! I continued my education at University of Missouri-St. Louis, and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Being so deeply rooted in St. Louis and SLPS, I was eager as well as honored to join the district nearly 10 years ago. I’ve been a part of the Nance community for going on 10 years now and the teachers, students, and parents truly feel like family! It has been a privilege to have taught kindergarten for 6 years, first grade for 2 years, and Supplemental Instructional Teacher/ELA Coach for 2 years. I’m excited to be a Supplemental Instructional Teacher/ELA Coach for this school year.  

My vision for this school year (2021-22) is to empower students to believe that they can perform beyond the parameters of their social economic status and excel past any barriers they may face.
