Teacher Message: I absolutely love what I do and I love serving the students of St. Louis Public even more!

    Biography:
First and foremost, I am from Chicago, Il..  I am also a proud veteran!  I served in the US AIr Force for 24 years.  Upon retirement in 2012, there was a calling on my heart to teach, specifically in St. Louis City.  I am a resident of Illinois so that was going to be a challenge. I enrolled in a Master of Education program at McKendree University in 2013.  However, that sense of urgency to teach would not wait and it ultimately led me to the Teach for America program in St. Louis in 2014. Teach for America gave me the opportunity to enter the classroom sooner and I am forever grateful!

I hold A Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Wayland Baptist University, a Master of Arts in Human Resources from Webster University and a Master of Arts in Education from McKendree University.

I have teaching certifications in Missouri and Illinois in Secondary Education, Social Studies.

I enjoy traveling in my spare time and visitng with family and friends.  I also love to run and ride my bike.

My pride and joy is my son, Jarel.  He is an adult but he is always near and dear to my heart.
