Biography:  I grew up in the St. Louis County area attending Affton and Mehville/Oakville School
Districts. In high school and college I worked at The Magic House.  I earned my Associates of
Arts degree from St. Louis Community College in 2000.  Transfered to Webster University where
I earned my Bachelors of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Science and Social Science in 2002.
I married my wonderful husband and we moved out to the country. I began my teaching career at
a small Jefferson County school where I taught for 13 years. I made the move to McKinley in 2017
to teach science full time. I love teaching science and encouraging our gifted learners to explore
the world around them. I graduated in May of 2020 with my Masters in Gifted Education from
Lindenwood University.  My husband and I have two wonderful teenagers that keep us busy with
all their activities. I had a classroom pet Rhinoceros Horned Beatle and currently have a pet
    Hedgehog named Spike.
I love my family, being a teacher, frogs, turtles, most bugs, the St. Louis Cardinals, and Dark Chocolate

Ms. Hall / A Day Resident

    A Day

I grew up in Normal, IL where I graduated from University High School. I studied Psychology and Chemistry at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville where I earned my bachelor's degree. I am currently in the St. Louis Teacher Residency Program on the pursuit of achieving a Teachers Certification and a Masters Degree. I have a passion for working with kids and seeing them grow into their full potential. I am a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated. I love my family, traveling, my sorority, music, my beautiful 1 year old niece, and tacos!

Mr. Kester / B Day Resident

    B day

I grew up on the southside of Springfield, MO. I moved to Columbia when I was 18 to study Astrophysics at the University of Missouri. Last Spring, I was referred to a program called “St. Louis Teacher Residency”.   I’ve always enjoyed sharing knowledge and teaching informally, plus I wanted to do something that I felt really mattered.  I was fortunate to be assigned to McKinley to continue to work towards becoming a lead teacher in 2021. I’ll also be graduating from Washington University with a Masters in Teaching and Learning in 2022. Perhaps most importantly, I have an orange cat named Sven, and he is the absolute best.
