Biography: Hello. My name is Ms. Ransom, and I am the reading specialist for grades 3-5. I am a product of St. Louis Public Schools. I went to Hickey Elementary, Turner Middle, and graduated from Sumner High School. I have one beautiful daughter who is in the fifth grade. I also have a Pomeranian named Scooby. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My hobbies are cooking, listening to music, watching movies, and watching wrestling.
This will be my eighth year of teaching. I have taught 3rd grade for five years and 1st/2nd grade for two years. Also, this is my fifth year teaching at Meramec. I received my Bachelor’s of Elementary Education and Master’s in Elementary Eduation-Reading Certification at the University of MO-St. Louis. I am currently pursuing my ED.S. Educational Administration certification and Doctoral degree at the University of MO-St. Louis.
As the reading specialist, I pull small groups daily to provide support and interventions in reading, writing, and comprehension skills. I believe that every child can and will learn. I look forward to getting to know you and your child this school year!
