    Meet the AIC

Hello Walbridge  families! My role as the AIC is to help teachers deliver the best instruction possible to our students. I work closely with our principal, Ms. Moore, to ensure that we continue to set high expectations for student achievement and to make sure that every student feels like a special part of the Walbridge STEAM Academy family. Though your main contact for classroom information should always be your child's teacher, you may reach out to me as well.

About Me  -- This is my 23nd year in education! Before coming to St. Louis Public Schools as an Instructional Coach seven years ago, I was a middle school and high school English teacher for 16 years in Alabama and Missouri. I also spent most of those years coaching dance and theater:two of my favorite things! When I am not at school, my husband and I love spending time with our five wonderful sons, two daughters-in-law, and our beautiful granddaughter. You might also hear me talk quite a bit about our new puppy, Bo.

Education -- I love learning and I continue to push myself every day! I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in English from Middle Tennessee State University, a Masters in Educational Leadership from Southeast Missouri State, and a K-12 Reading Specialist certification from UMSL. I am currently preparing to continue my education to complete my Education Specialist degree in curriculum and instruction/reading.

Favorite part of my job -- Sometimes I really miss being a classroom teacher, so my favorite part of every day is the time I get to spend visiting classrooms (even virtual ones) and being with students.
