Biography: Mr. Robert Hardcastle is a life-long learner dedicated to helping students find what motivates and inspires them to be the best version of themselves. He studied at the University of Missouri St. Louis and received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. He will be attending SIU Edwardsville in the fall to pursue a Masters Degree in Music Education. Currently, he is in his seventh year of teaching at Carnahan High School of the Future. The Carnahan Music Program offers AP Music Theory, Concert Band, Beginning Band and Beginner Percussion, Intermediate Guitar, Beginning Guitar, and Career Development Classes.
Outside of being the Music Director at Carnahan, Mr. Hardcastle enjoys spending time with his family, his wonderful girlfriend, and his two energetic dogs, Teddy and Precious Mama. He also enjoys going to the movies, camping, swimming, cooking, and playing/dancing/listening to music. Mr. Hardcastle grew up in St. Louis City and he is a product of SLPS along with his two older brothers and one younger sister. He believes that Music Education can help students learn so many valuable skills and life lessons from discipline and hard work to collaboration and self reflection. Mr. Hardcastle cannot wait to see returning students and meet new students as we traverse a Virtual start to the school year.
