    Welcome to Ms. Vierling's web page!  I had been a classroom Social Studies teacher for many years and while I loved teaching and working with students in the classroom, I am just as excited about my role here at Carr Lane.  Being the Dean of Students allows me the opportunity to work with students to create a plan for success during their Middle School years.  These years can be difficult for young adults to navigate.  Many may struggle to find a path that brings them success and rewards, whether that be in regards to academics, behavior, or creating positive relationships with teachers and peers.  I remind students that while these years may be challenging, it is during this time they have a tremendous amount of resources and support.  I am looking forward to working alongside the staff and parents to be one of those resources for the students here at Carr Lane.  I am committed to the students of SLPS as I am a graduate of this district myself - albeit many years ago!  I have great confidence that our students can meet and even surpass any expectations.  Please feel free to call or email me with any questions or concerns.
     
    Parents - I know this is a very trying time for everyone and you are all concerned about your student's learning.  I understand that learning will be more difficult while we are all homebound and social distancing.  If I can be of help to you or your student, please don't hesitate to contact me at my email below.
