•       Hello! My name is Louise Rusk. I teach Pre-k 3-4 at Mann Elementary School. This is my 5th year at Mann, but my 28th year teaching!

I have 4 grown children and 10 grandchildren.

I have taught Pre-K, Early Childhood Special Education and Kindergarten through 3rd grade in regular and special education classes. My degrees are in Early Childhood Education and Special Education with a specialty in Autism.

I have always loved to read. Reading aloud to children is one of my favorite school activities! I am a firm believer that reading takes you places! It helps you learn, makes you a better writer, increases your vocabulary and opens up a world you might never otherwise explore!

Reading to your child at home is one of the most important activities you can do with them. Talk to them, too, spending time interacting with them person to person. I know it can be challenging in these busy times, but it is so essential to their growth and development!

I grew up in the St Louis area and have lived here for most of my life. I have also lived in CA and lived and taught in Southwest Missouri.
