Hello, my name is Ms. Gentemann and I am so excited to be switching to a new role at Dewey as the second ESOL teacher with Ms. McDonnell! My job will focus primarily on working with the K-2 Multilingual Learners. This year will be my eleventh year of teaching and my seventh year at Dewey. I am looking forward to the start of this year and the new experiences we will share together.
    A few things about me:
In 2020, I was awarded district Elementary Science Teacher of the Year. I also graduated from Webster University with my second graduate degree, a Master of Arts in TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language).
I previously had the honor of teaching 2nd and 3rd grade science for Teaching in Room 9 on channel 9. You can catch me on re-runs or on the website!
I have one dog, a corgi named Dinah. My two cousins, Julia (15) and Corinne (12) live with me. Our favorite things include watching Jeopardy and family dinners.

Please be sure to let me know if you have any questions-I am here to help. I am looking forward to an amazing school year.
