Ms. Mallory Droit
Dear Students and Families,
Hi! My name is Ms. Droit and I will be your child’s teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. I can’t wait to meet you! I have a special place in my heart for teaching special needs students, and it is my goal that your child will learn significant social and academic skills in a safe, structured, and positive environment.
Over the past few years I have become very aware of the impact teachers have on the lives of their students. As students enter school they are turned over to the care of their teacher for nearly seven hours a day. I have always been a huge supporter of frequent home-school communication. It is my hope that this letter will be the basis for a great deal of dialogue and communication between us. We’ll discuss your child, what’s happening in our classroom, ways you can support your child’s learning at home and ways that I can extend what you do at home in school.
My hope for this kind of ongoing dialogue leads me to a small request. Would you take a few minutes to jot down some thoughts about your child? What shouldn’t I wait to find out about him/her? What are his/her greatest strengths, proudest achievements, or favorite things to do? What are your hopes for his/her school year? Feel free to include anything you would like me to know. Please feel free to bring your letter on the first day of school.
Below I have listed the supplies you will need to bring with you on the first day of school:
- 1 backpack
- 1 package of Dry Erase Markers
- 1 bottle liquid glue
- 2 glue sticks
- 1 box of pencils
- 1 box of crayons

- 2 containers of disinfecting wipes
- 2 boxes of tissues
- Please supply a snack 1 time a month for the classroom (ex. Goldfish, pretzels, cheerios, raisins, dried fruit, crackers, etc.)
