Big news at SLPS! Mallinckrodt and Betty Wheeler Elementary Schools Receive National Blue Ribbon Schools Recognition

The U.S. Department of Education announced this afternoon that two Saint Louis Public Schools (SLPS) have been named National Blue Ribbon Schools for 2023. Betty Wheeler Classical Junior Academy and Mallinckrodt Academy of Gifted Instruction are two of only eight schools in the state of Missouri to receive the honor.

The recognition is based on a school’s overall academic performance or progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups on assessments, according to the U.S. Department of Education.
